A couple of weeks ago, during the very popular Doors Open Ottawa, where you get to explore some of the most beautiful and interesting buildings in our city, I was delighted to explore the good design Ottawa has to offer. At the very top of my list of places to explore was the Delegation of the Ismaili Imamat building, where the Aga Khan Foundation has its home, as well as the Global Centre for Pluralism. This building is a true gem, designed by the Japanese architect Fumihiko Maki, together with Canadian firm Moriyama & Teshima. Like most of the Ismaili Centers around the world, this building is beautiful, modern and incredibly well considered down to the very last detail. Here are a few shots of things that caught my eye as I explored this special space.
Kilka tygodni temu, podczas bardzo popularnego weekendu nazywanego Otwarte Drzwi Ottawa, gdzie można było zwiedzać wiele z najpiękniejszych i najbardziej interesujących budynków w naszym mieście, byłam zachwycona móc zwiedzić przyklady dobrego projektowania w Ottawie. Na samej górze listy miejsc do eksplorowania był budynek Delegatury Ismaili imamatu, gdzie się znajduje Aga Khan Fundacja, oraz Globalne Centrum Pluralizmu. Ten budynek jest prawdziwym klejnotem, zaprojektowanym przez Japońskiego architekta Fumihiko Maki, razem z Kanadujską firmą architektoniczną Moriyama & Teshima. Jak wszystkie Ismaili Centrum na świecie, ten budynek jest piękny, nowoczesny i bardzo dobrze przemyślany aż do najdrobniejszego szczegółu.
