Possessions / Passions #4 – Self Portrait

I had some fun the other evening taking a few photos of myself for a new head shot. In the process I finally did a self portrait for my Possessions/Passions series. You may or may not recall, ages ago I started a portrait series called Possessions/Passions. Essentially I wanted to photograph various people with their most favorite things. My favorite one so far is the very first one I did with Ray. I haven’t done many of these because… well, all kind of reasons. Mainly due to laziness and possibly because I feel I haven’t got a clear and concise vision for this series. It doesn’t have that uniform look I’m hoping for… That aside though, here is a new shot. Maybe it’s the start of something good. A self portrait with one of my most favorite things in the whole wide world, the camera.

Miałam trochę zabawy zeszłego wieczoru robiąc sobie kilka zdjęć. W procesie w końcu zrobiłam autoportret dla mojej serii Posiadłości/Pasje. Może pamiętacie a może nie, wieki temu zaczełam serię portretów które nazwalam Posiadłości/Pasje. Chciałam sfotografować różnych ludzi z ich najbardziej ulubionymi rzeczami. Moje ulubione zdjęcia do tej pory są z pierwszej sesji z Ray’em. Nie zrobiłam wiele zdjęć do tej serii, bo … no cóż, z wszelkiego rodzaju przyczyn. Głównie ze względu na moje lenistwo i ewentualnie dlatego że nie mam jasnej i zwięzłej wizji do tej serii. Nie ma tego jednolitego wyglądu którego chciałabym osiągnąć… Ale pomijając to wszystko, oto jest nowe zdjęcie. Być może to początek czegoś dobrego. Autoportret z jedną z moich najbardziej ulubionych rzeczy w całym szerokim świecie, moim aparatem.

Jest jeszcze inna wersja tego strzału na mojej stronie internetowej. A w przypadku jakby ktoś był zainteresowany pózniej napisze post z skonfiguracją świał i aparatu do tego zdjęcia, a także “przed i po” zdjęcie, aby pokazać ilość postprodukcji.

The jewelry you are about to see was created by the talented, Ottawa based, jewelry designer Karen McClintock. It is all hand made here in Ottawa. How’s that for local… It is fun, whimsical, elegant and sexy. It’s whatever you need it to be really.

I am really happy I got to meet the woman behind this lovely product. Her story is inspiring to me as she started her business some eight years ago from her kitchen table and now is in over 40 stores across Canada (and online), with a team of people helping her bring her wonderful product to the masses. Here are a few of my favourite photos and items from this product shoot. Or as I like to call it, “my shopping list”.

As most (or some) women out there, I am always on the look out for interesting and original jewelry. I came across Orska jewelry by chance and I sure am glad to have found this company. This designer, Anna Orska, seems to have a real fun and experimental approach to what women and men should adorn them selves with. Here are a few of my absolute favorites. I hope to purchase each item very soon.

Jak większość kobiet (lub w niektórych przypadkach), zawsze poluję na ciekawą i oryginalną biżuterię. Natknęłam się przez przypadek na firme Orska, i jestem bardzo zadowolona że ją znalazłam. Ta projektantka, Pani Anna Orska, ma naprawdę zabawne i eksperymentalne spojrzenie na to czym kobiety i mężczyźni powinni ozdabiać sie. Oto kilka z moich absolutnie ulubionych projektow.
